Bharat Jasthi is a Professor at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology. A senior materials scientist and engineer, his research focuses on advanced materials, mechanical properties, corrosion, and coatings. His recent work investigates the high-temperature oxidation behavior of low-density AlCuFeNiTi-based high entropy alloys, nanoscale tantalum nitride thin films for corrosion resistance, and friction stir processing of aluminum alloys. He currently leads a $1.9M EPSCoR project aimed at developing innovative materials for agriculture, human health, and quantum science.
