Beatriz E. Adrada is a Professor at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Her research focuses on breast cancer imaging, particularly the use of dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI (DCE-MRI) to predict pathologic complete response to neoadjuvant therapy in triple-negative breast cancer. She leads the ARTEMIS trial, which identified immune activation as a key predictor of treatment response, and explores deep learning models integrating pretreatment MRI for response prediction. Her recent work includes the Density MATTERS trial comparing molecular breast imaging and digital breast tomosynthesis for dense breast screening, and investigations into selective elimination of breast surgery, contributing significantly to breast oncology and cancer imaging.
