Ashish Sinha is a Professor of Earth Science at California State University–Dominguez Hills. His research focuses on paleoclimatology, climate dynamics, and Quaternary science, with a particular emphasis on reconstructing monsoon variability and hydroclimate extremes using stalagmite-based geochemical proxies. His recent work, published in venues such as *Nature Communications* and *Science Advances*, documents centennial-scale droughts on the Tibetan Plateau over the past 3,500 years, links East Asian summer monsoon variability to Northern Westerlies dynamics, and explores solar and ocean-atmosphere forcing of hydroclimate in arid Central Asia and the Atlantic Warm Pool. He has been recognized with multiple NSF P2C2 awards for extending high-resolution Indian summer monsoon records, and his international collaborations span China, India, and Europe.
