Arief Suriadi Budiman is a Senior Professor at Oregon Institute of Technology. His research focuses on materials science and photovoltaics, with specific interests in the mechanical behavior of nanolaminated metals, fracture mechanics in thin silicon wafers for 3D semiconductor devices, and agrivoltaic system design. His recent work includes in situ micromechanical testing of Cu/Nb nanolaminates, machine learning applications for solar dryer forecasting and battery degradation estimation, and the development of AI-driven crack detection for semiconductor packaging. He has published extensively on fatigue and fracture of accumulative roll-bonded materials and leads multidisciplinary student projects on agro-photovoltaic domes.
