Anusha Mishra is an Assistant Professor at Oregon Health & Science University, where her research focuses on cerebral vascular regulation, neurophysiology, and the molecular mechanisms underlying stroke and neurodegenerative diseases. Her recent work investigates pericyte contractile dynamics and capillary flow deficits, thromboxane A2 receptor-mediated vascular tone, and astrocyte gap junction contributions to potassium buffering and neuronal excitability. She has published influential studies on ischemic vascular dysfunction in Alzheimer’s disease and the heightened mortality risk following acute ischemic stroke in Parkinson’s disease. Her research integrates vascular biology with neurophysiology to elucidate how cerebral blood flow dysregulation contributes to neurodegeneration and ischemic syndromes.
