Aneesh Manohar is an Emeritus Professor of Physics at the University of California, San Diego. His research centers on particle physics, with a specific focus on the geometric formulation of quantum field theory and effective field theories. His latest work develops geometric approaches to the renormalization of the Standard Model Effective Field Theory, including two-loop renormalization of scalar theories and analyses of field redefinitions and infinite field anomalous dimensions, published in the Journal of High Energy Physics. He is also a leading authority on Chiral Perturbation Theory. A recipient of the Presidential Young Investigator Award for topics in QCD and weak interactions, he maintains extensive international collaborations with institutions including CERN, Harvard University, the Max Planck Institute for Physics, and the University of Oxford.
