Amanda L. Olson, M.D., is a Professor at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, where she specializes in hematology and stem cell transplantation. Her research focuses on optimizing donor selection and personalized treatment strategies for allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation, particularly using post-transplant cyclophosphamide (PTCy) prophylaxis to reduce graft-versus-host disease. Her recent work models donor age and type trade-offs to improve clinical outcomes in AML and MDS patients, and explores the use of viral-specific T cells for BK virus nephropathy in immunocompromised hosts. She has published extensively in journals such as *Leukemia*, *Blood Cancer Journal*, and *Transplantation and Cellular Therapy*, and leads international, multisite initiatives, including qualitative studies on adapting yoga therapy for transplant inpatients. Her contributions bridge clinical immunology, transplant medicine, and supportive oncology care.
