Alison Skalet is a Senior Professor at Oregon Health & Science University. Her research focuses on ophthalmic oncology, particularly uveal melanoma, retinoblastoma, and intraocular lymphoma, integrating radiation oncology, pathology, and advanced medical optical imaging. Her recent work includes developing non-mydriatic handheld panretinal optical coherence tomography with custom optics and three-dimensional curve distortion correction, alongside studies on aqueous humor liquid biopsy safety in retinoblastoma and novel deep intronic RB1 variants exhibiting incomplete penetrance. She has also investigated metastasis rates in uveal melanoma patients treated with brachytherapy and vitrectomy, contributing significantly to ocular disease diagnostics and treatment.
