Ahmed O. Kaseb

Ahmed O. Kaseb is a Senior Professor at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. His research focuses on hepatocellular carcinoma, hepatology, and liver cancer, with specific interests in immunotherapy response, gut microbiota modulation of immune checkpoint inhibitors, and functional liver imaging for reirradiation. His recent work includes phase I trials on single-photon emission computed tomography-guided liver reirradiation, predictive immune biomarkers for fibrolamellar carcinoma, and cell cycle pathway alterations in post-transplant outcomes. He has published in the Journal of Clinical Oncology, Lancet Gastroenterology & Hepatology, and JHEP Reports, with ongoing investigations into Yttrium-90 radioembolization and neoadjuvant immunotherapy for hepatobiliary malignancies.
